Term Definition
Fittings and Fixtures

a) Items like baths or stoves
b) Light and other fittings
c) Kitchen, linen or storage cupboards or wardrobes. Fittings are not normally included in a contract if they can be removed without causing damage.

 
Fixed Asset Tax

This is similar to the annual rates on property. It is a yearly tax and is comprised of the land and buidling tax.

It is calculated using the governor value ( also know in Japanese at the "koteishisanzei", the value that the local authorities value the property) which is not the market price, but a value calculated by the local government.

 
Flat Interest RateIs calculated on the original amount of the mortgage for the whole term of the loan.
 
Floor Area PercentageThe allowed percentage of gross floor area to gross site area.
 
FreeholdAn owner's interest in land where the property and the land on which it stands both belong to their owner indefinitely.
 
FrontageThe portion of property that borders a roadway or body of water.
