With the rapid progress on development in the area, Niseko Hirafu Ski Resort and it's surrounding ski resorts of Annupuri (future CAPELLA development), Higashiyama (Silvan Ridge Development, etc.), and Hanazono are set to be a permanant lisitng on the top 20 ski resorts of the world.
Already, CITIGROUP has sold to the luxury hotel chain YTL. YTL group's purchase of the Niseko Village (formerly known as Higahsiyama) Ski Resort has started a steady moving forward of confidence in investing in this unique area. In late 2007, Richard Lee from Hong Kong accquired all the outstanding shares of Harmony Resort Limited, the owning company of Hanazono Ski resort, which is part of the Niseko UNITED Group of 4 Ski resorts.
It is anticipated that Harmony Resort, with this added boost of capital, has constructioned it's Ski Centre at the based of the No. 1 Hanazono Quad lift. World renouned Mountain Resort planners, ECOSIGN from Whistler/Blackcomb, Canada, have helped Harmony with their masterplan and given them the opportunity to realize their dream.
With all this movement forward on both sides of Niseko Hirafu Ski Resort, plus the large acquisition of some large tracks of land in the Moiwa/ Annupuri region by some American investors, towards the end of 2007,one is set to see a development in a large scale, not only in Niseko Hirafu ski resort, but also around the entire base of the Niseko Annupuri mountain.
The world recession is slowly giving way to increased buyer/investor confidence with Niseko's Real Estate again starting to move.
